Pregnant woman killed in Stearns County crash

A pregnant woman was killed in a crash Monday in Stearns County, Minnesota.

According to the Stearns County sheriff's office, around 7:48 a.m., authorities were called to a crash involving a semi-tractor trailer and an SUV at the intersection of County Road 4 and County Road 133 in LeSauk Township.

A 46-year-old Indiana man was operating a 2000 Kenworth semi-tractor combination on County Road 133 when he went through a four-way stop and struck an SUV proceeding through the intersection. The driver of the SUV, a 30-year-old pregnant woman, was transported to the hospital where she and her 5-month-old fetus later died.

The woman has been identified as Casey Rose Myers of Holdingford, Minn.

The driver told authorities he did not see the stop sign.

Authorities are still investigating the crash.
