Pedestrian dies in crash at Spring Lake Park intersection
SPRING LAKE PARK, Minn. (KMSP) - A pedestrian died in a crash with car at a Spring Lake Park intersection, according to Spring Lake Park police.
The crash happened around 7:29 p.m. near the intersection at 83rd Avenue NE and University Avenue NE.
Police say a vehicle headed northbound on University Avenue hit a 35-year-old man, who died at the scene. The driver attempted to avoid the man and swerved into the center median.
No one inside the vehicle was injured.
The driver is cooperating with officials. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
The victim will be identified at a later time.
The crash is still under investigation.
