Motorcyclist killed in crash with delivery truck in NE Minneapolis
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - A 56-year-old woman was killed after her motorcycle collided with a delivery truck in northeast Minneapolis Monday afternoon.
The crash took place near the intersection of 7th Avenue NE and University Avenue NE at approximately 12:38 p.m., according to Minneapolis police spokesperson Sgt. Catherine Michael. The motorcyclist was traveling south on University Avenue when the delivery truck pulled out in front of her and she ran into its side.
The motorcyclist was transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center, where she died from her injuries.
The delivery truck was a city-owned vehicle for Minneapolis Public Schools. The truck driver was not injured and is cooperating with investigators.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released. The crash remains under investigation.
