Four teenage boys were driving eastbound in a Dodge Ram on I-94 near Fergus Falls just after 9 a.m. when the crash occurred. State Patrol officers initially reported the truck hit the shoulder, over-corrected and eventually ended up in the westbound lanes of I-94.

State Patrol now says a combination tractor-trailer is believed to be involved in the crash. Investigators say the semitrailer is likely a white late-‘80s to mid-‘90s Kenworth tractor, Model T600 to T800 with an Aerodyne sleeper and dark blue cab.

The license plate has a sequence of numbers of either 024 or 025, most likely at the end of the plate sequence. The state of registration is unknown.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the semitrailer or driver is asked to call Sgt. Rod Eischens at 218-846-8244 or email him at rod.eischens@state.mn.us.
