Minneapolis Marathon canceled for 2016
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - The Minneapolis Marathon has officially been canceled.
In an email to runners, race organizers said they were unable to obtain the necessary permits to reroute the marathon and half marathon course around the construction by race day on June 5. As a result, neither the marathon, half marathon nor the relay will be run in 2016.
Registered runners are being offered a full refund of the race fee and a discount on a future Team Ortho race or free registration for two future Team Ortho races and a choice of a bonus gift.
