Man found dead in Lake of the Isles channel identified
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - A man’s body was recovered from the channel between Lake of the Isles and Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis just after 2:30 p.m. Monday.
On Thursday, the Hennepin County medical examiner's office identified the man as 62-year-old Nicholas Roy Barlow, who has no known home address. The cause and manner of death both remain under investigation by the Hennepin County sheriff's office.
Deputies and firefighters were called to the channel on reports of a jacket found frozen to the ice. His body was found nearby, underneath the surface.
