Man dies after being struck by vehicle in Minneapolis
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (KMSP) - Minneapolis police say a man has died after being hit by a car Monday afternoon. The incident happened at the intersection of Hawthorne Avenue and 11th Street North around 4 p.m.
The victim was transported from the scene to HCMC. He died from his injuries on Tuesday.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the victim's name at a later date.
The driver of the vehicle, a woman, stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police. Police say alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor. The incident is under investigation.
This is the second fatal pedestrian accident in Minneapolis this week. On Wednesday, a woman died from her injuries after being struck by a car on Tuesday at the intersection of Broadway Avenue West and Sheridan Avenue North.
