'Making a Murderer' defense attorney visits Twin Cities

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - The defense attorney for Steven Avery, the main subject of the popular Netflix documentary “Making at Murderer,” will be in the Twin Cities on Wednesday to discuss the broader implications of the series.

Defense attorney Dean Strang will meet with members of the state Legislature in St. Paul to share his prospective on the various processes in the criminal justice system, before heading to Sisyphus Brewing Company in Minneapolis to speak at a sold-out event.

Strang will speak with Twin Cities attorneys Joe Friedberg and Ron Rosenbaum about the case and what the success of the documentary means for the criminal justice system.

All proceeds from the ticket sales for the event will go to the Wisconsin Innocence Project.
