Distracted driving comes in many forms and isn’t just reserved for people using their phones.

The Lino Lakes Police Department reminded its Facebook followers of just that Thursday when it posted a photo of a car badly damaged in a crash that occurred just before 8 a.m.

According to a Lino Lakes Police Department spokesperson, the person who caused the crash said they were simply, “thinking about something else” when they crashed.

The crash involved three different vehicles, but luckily nobody was injured.

“There are so many distractions in our lives that it only takes a moment of inattention for a crash like this to occur,” said the Facebook post. “A distraction doesn’t always have to be physical, it can just be as simple as a moment of daydreaming or thinking about something else going on in your life.”

The post went on to urge drivers to pay attention and to “please eliminate distractions,” while behind the wheel.
