Lino Lakes, Minn. helicopter crash victims identified

LINO LAKES, Minn. (KMSP) - The Midwest Medical Examiner's Office has identified the two people who died in the helicopter crash last week in Lino Lakes, Minn.
According to the report, 48-year-old Matthew Hayes of Minneapolis and 47-year-old Deborah Smith of Blaine died from multiple blunt force injuries from the helicopter crash. Hayes was the pilot and Smith was the passenger.
The crash happened on Thursday just after 5:30 p.m. The helicopter crashed at Sunset Avenue and 125th Ave NE.
The case is still being investigated by Anoka County Sheriff's Office, Blaine Police Department and the National Transportation and Safety Board.
