Ice chunk shatters windshield, patrol reminds drivers to clear vehicles

A large chunk of ice flew off of a semitrailer and shattered another driver's windshield on Monday morning on Interstate 694 near Highway 36, according to state patrol.

The driver suffered minor injuries, and while the semi driver was not cited, the company will repair the costs of the broken windshield.

Minnesota State Patrol reminds drivers to clear your car or truck before hitting the road, and if you see someone who hasn't cleared their vehicle, keep your distance.
