Gov. Dayton issues executive order, response to dangerously cold weather
(KMSP) - Governor Mark Dayton called on the National Guard to open the Moorehead armory to serve as an emergency shelter from the dangerously cold temperatures.
The Clay County Sheriff requested the executive order. It was issued on Saturday.
"It remains in effect until the termination of the emergency conditions caused by the lack of shelter and severe cold weather affecting Clay County," the Executive Order stated.
