Cow briefly roams streets of Queens
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - A cow briefly took to the streets of Queens before authorities corralled the bovine and returned it to a slaughterhouse on Thursday. The animal led cops on a chase from Jamaica Avenue and Merrick Boulevard to a parking garage at Archer Avenue.
Video shows the cow trotting down the street past shops and pedestrians. The NYPD's 103rd Precinct tweeted photos out of the capture.
The New York Post reported that the cow escaped from a halal slaughterhouse around noon. A worker there said the cow is set to be slaughtered on Friday.
