Body pulled from pond near Oak Glen Golf Course in Stillwater
STILLWATER, Minn. (KMSP) - Stillwater police confirmed a body was pulled from a pond off Brown's Creek Trail near Oak Glen Golf Course on Saturday morning.
Police said the body of a male in his late teens or early 20s was pulled from the pond, and a moped was found nearby in the weeds around 8:15 a.m. It's unclear when he crashed, but witnesses in the area had seen the moped at mile marker 3 around 7:30 a.m. There is no evidence of foul play. Motor vehicle traffic is not allowed on the trail.
Police said it appeared the driver went off the trail and was ejected into the water. It's unknown at this time if alcohol was involved. His identity will be released by the Ramsey County medical examiner's office.
