Blue Line train collides with car in Minneapolis, 1 injured

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - A southbound Blue Line light rail train collided with a vehicle at 30th Avenue and Hiawatha Avenue Friday morning, injuring the driver of the car and causing delays.
The accident occurred at 6:30 a.m. The driver of the vehicle was taken to Fairview Southdale Hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries is unknown.
Northbound Blue Line trains experienced some delays in the aftermath of the crash, but trains are back on schedule.
Metro Transit Police are investigating the crash. Spokesperson Drew Kerr says he does not yet know how the accident occurred.
