Auto repair shop owner shot, injured in Richfield, Minnesota

RICHFIELD, Minn. (KMSP) - A man was shot in the foot following an altercation in a store in Richfield, Minnesota Wednesday.
Police responded to a call shortly before noon at Maaco Collison Repair and Auto Painting on Cedar Avenue where a man known to the business “got into an argument with the business owner,” and shot the owner several times, according to a press release.
The owner was shot in the foot and transported to Hennepin County Medical Center.
The suspect fled in his car, and while a police officer pursued the man, he terminated the pursuit because of traffic conditions and the suspect’s driving conduct.
The incident is currently under investigation, and police do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.
