At 2:09 p.m. on Thursday, officers responded to a report of a man attempting to rob and kidnap a teenage girl near Hyland Lake dock on Bush Lake Road. At the time, the 17-year-old was babysitting a five-year-old boy, who was fishing nearby. Both the teen and boy are from Mendota Heights.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his late 20's. He left in a black 4-door car, similar in style to a Honda Accord.
