3 dead, 2 in life threatening condition after crash in Morton, Minn.

Three people have died after a head-on crash Saturday evening in Morton, Minnesota. A one-year-old child died in the crash, and a seven-year-old child is in life threatening condition.

Around 5:10 p.m., a Ford was heading south on Highway 71; the Mitsubishi was heading north on Highway 71 when the driver attempted to pass a vehicle on a bridge and struck the Ford head-on.

The driver of Mitsubishi, a 34-year-old woman from Lakefield, Minn., died in the crash. She was not wearing a seat belt. A one-year-old boy also died, and it is unknown if he was wearing a seat belt.

Another passenger, a 27-year-old man, suffered life-threatening injuries. It is unknown if he was wearing a seat belt. The other passenger, a seven-year-old boy, suffered life-threatening injuries and was not wearing a seat belt.

The driver of the Ford, a 41-year-old woman Redwood Falls, Minn., died in the crash and was not wearing a seat belt. 

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
