2nd man charged in south Minneapolis double homicide

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (KMSP) - The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office announced charges against a second man involved in the shooting deaths of a 20-year-old man and a baby.
Rashad Austin, 25, of Minneapolis has been charged with aiding Jquan McInnis in the shooting deaths of Gustav Christianson II and seven-month-old Jayden Redden in south Minneapolis on Oct. 9.

McInnis, 17, was charged with first-degree murder on Oct. 13.
According to the criminal complaint, Austin was in a car with McInnis before and after the two victims were shot. The complaint also states that Austin listened to instructions from McInnis to get rid of documents and contact several witnesses to tell them to stop helping in his prosecution.
The county attorney’s office will be seeking bail of $1 million.
