2 shootings, 5 injured after 4th of July bar closings in Minneapolis

Minneapolis police say 5 people were injured in two shootings just a few blocks apart in downtown Minneapolis as bars closed down after the Fourth of July celebrations. It's too early to tell whether the two shootings are connected, but they don't appear to be random attacks.

The first shooting happened just after 2 a.m. Sunday near 4th Street and Hennepin Avenue. Two men were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, including one with "very serious" injuries.

The second shooting happened an hour later near 3rd Street and 2nd Avenue. A man and woman were taken to HCMC with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. A third victim went to North Memorial Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made.
