2 injured in downtown Minneapolis shooting Sunday morning

Two men were injured in a shooting in downtown Minneapolis early Sunday morning.

Officers in the area of 4th Street and 2nd Avenue North head the sound of gunshots around 2:45 a.m. Two victims were later located at the Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life threatening gunshot wounds. One of the men had a grazing wound to his head and the other suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.

The incident appears to have occurred between two groups of people who knew each other and is not related to the Twin Cities Pride events happening in the area this weekend, according to Minneapolis police.
