$10,000 reward offered in shooting of N. Mpls grandmother
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in connection with the shooting that killed a grandmother in north Minneapolis on May 26.
58-year-old Birdell Beeks was killed by stray gunfire while in a minivan with her granddaughter at the intersection of 21st Avenue and Penn Avenue around 6 p.m. Minneapolis police are still searching for a suspect.
Crime Stoppers of Minnesota is offering the reward, the Beeks’ family confirmed to Fox 9. Anyone with information about the incident can submit their tip by calling 1-800-222-8477, visiting the Crime Stoppers website or texting 274637 with Tip674 followed by the tip.
