The Shakopee Police Department is offering a $1,000 reward for information on vandalism and theft at a child care center in Shakopee, Minn.

Police believe the suspects entered Al Huda Child Daycare Center in the Shakopee Town Square Mall sometime between Sept. 26 and Sept. 27 and stole a large amount of cash and several electronics. The suspects also poured several gallons of paint throughout the child care center and damaged appliances.

The owners and clients of Al Huda Child Daycare Center are predominately of Somali descent. However, Shakopee police say there is no indication at this time that the business was targeted for that reason.

Surveillance cameras captured photos of the vehicles that may have been involved in the burglary or seen something related to the incident. Police believe the suspects will likely have paint splatters on their clothing and shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Shakopee Police Department at 952-233-9400.
