1 dead in afternoon N. Minneapolis shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - One man is dead following a shooting in north Minneapolis Saturday afternoon.
The victim was walking near the intersection of 39th Street and Colfax Avenue around 12 p.m. when a white passenger vehicle pulled up beside him and fired several shots, according to Minneapolis police spokesperson John Elder.
The victim fled west from the scene and died shortly later in a nearby alley. The vehicle fled southbound on Colfax Avenue.
No suspects are in custody at this time.
