This year?s show features two indoor pools, an entire home with the latest and greatest in products and design, multiple gardens to peruse and even full-size fairy sheds. The show begins at noon on March 1st and runs through the 5th.

The music of Pink Floyd is the inspiration and soundtrack for Twin Cities Ballet?s latest show. The Wall: A Rock Ballet will combine live music, classic rock and an original interpretation of emotion through dance. The company first debuted the production last year. They offered two shows, and both sold out. This year, they?re doing three shows; March 3rd, 4th and 5th at The Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul.

A Mardi Gras celebration awaits in St. Joseph
Instead of heading South for Mardi Gras, a celebration awaits just northwest of the Twin Cities. Krewe Restaurant is bringing the heritage of New Orleans to downtown St. Joseph. They’re hosting a Fat Tuesday buffet with live music starting at 5pm on the 21st. Jambalaya, gumbo and red beans are the core staples and they’re made from Chef Mateo Mackbee’s family recipes going back three generations. Chef Mateo is a native of Bloomington but his family is from New Orleans.
Instead of heading South for Mardi Gras, a celebration awaits just northwest of the Twin Cities. Krewe Restaurant is bringing the heritage of New Orleans to downtown St. Joseph. They’re hosting a Fat Tuesday buffet with live music starting at 5pm on the 21st. New art exhibit in the peak of winter transports guests to sunny Palm Springs
Artists draw inspiration from the people in the lives and places they?ve seen. And one warm, bright, colorful location is the motivation behind a new exhibition at Minneapolis? Gamut Gallery. The show is called ?Astroturf? but there?s only one sliver of actual AstroTurf in the gallery. Instead, it?s focused on Southern California in the 1950?s, a time when AstroTurf became a front yard staple. The show opens to the public on Friday, February 17th. It will be in place through March 18th. Gamut Gallery is located at 717 10th Street South in Minneapolis.

The popular winter event that got its start in the 1980s also features other activities, including yoga in the snow, a chili competition, and a Friday night party. The state?s top 48 high school and middle school robotics teams will face off in St. Paul this weekend for the FIRST Tech Challenge. The event begins Friday night at Roy Wilkins Auditorium and continues through Saturday. It is free and open to the public. At the start of the school year, the teams received this year?s challenge and designed a robot from scratch, even fabricating the parts on 3D printers. The top three teams will head to the World Championships in Houston. FOX 9 had a chance to check out the two teams from Maranatha Christian Academy in Booklyn Park who will compete this weekend.

Kids can step inside Grant Wood?s ?Dinner for Threshers,? or replace Mona Lisa?s face with their own. ?Framed? will be in place on the 4th floor through May 7th. Admission to the exhibit is included in general admission.

Fans can expect action, entertainment and intense competition as the cowboys work toward their mission of being crowned ProRodeo?s World Champion. There will be bull riding, saddle bronc riding and bareback riding including a women?s barrel racing showdown.

A classic donut shop in Burnsville is back in business. The name is the same, but that?s about it. Donut Star first opened in the 70?s. Last year, new owners purchased the property and began major renovations, adding a donut-themed rock star space mural. As for the donuts, they?re taking a new approach to baking the classics. Everything is made in-house by-hand. Donut Star is open Wednesday through Sunday, 6am to 2pm. It?s located at 2901 Cliff Road E.

An animal sanctuary in Faribault is gaining national attention for its work saving feral cats. At Furball Farm Pet Sanctuary, these cats are given shelter, food and a cage-free life. They?re also spayed or neutered and given vet care. Some of the cats begin to like the company of the volunteers and can be adopted out, but mostly these cats will live out the rest of their lives in the sanctuary and out of the elements. Many of the residents are now internet-famous thanks to Furball Farm?s Facebook page and live videos.

Visitors will come face to face with the gigantic creatures that ruled that ruled the land 165 million years ago. There are also baby dinos you can interact with and two walls lined with bounce houses. Get your tickets ahead of time online or at the door.
