President Trump and Iran leaders agreed Tuesday to a two-week cease fire before a 7 p.m. deadline as the sides try to work out a deal to open the Strait of Hormuz. 

President Donald Trump announced on social media Tuesday night the U.S. would suspend attacks on Iran for two weeks, based on talks with Iranian leadership. Political analyst David Schultz joined FOX 9 News at 5 to discuss what the decision means going forward. 

As the deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz nears, President Trump warned on social media that "a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again.” FOX 9’s Chenue Her reports.
