A shaky ceasefire between the United States and Iran may be holding, but tensions are growing ahead of talks this weekend. President Donald Trump this morning is warning Iran that if an agreement isn't reached, the conflict will reignite.

During a tense White House press briefing, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt fielded questions from reporters regarding President Donald Trump's threats against Iran and the new ceasefire agreement. Leavitt stated the Iranian regime "caved to their knees" after Trump threatened to eliminate their civilization, noting the Pentagon was ready to strike if the Strait of Hormuz was not reopened.

The White House responded to reports of a new round of bombings in Iran on Wednesday after the ceasefire had been reached.

Just as President Trump announced a ceasefire development on Tuesday, protesters gathered at the Washington Avenue south bridge in downtown Minneapolis calling for an end to the attacks.

President Trump and Iran leaders agreed Tuesday to a two-week cease fire before a 7 p.m. deadline as the sides try to work out a deal to open the Strait of Hormuz.
