Vikings finalize 185-acre land purchase in Eagan, could move headquarters
EAGAN, Minn. (KMSP) - In a news release, Vikings Owner/Chairman Zygi Wilf said the site "offers many positive attributes, including space and flexibility, proximity to downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul, as well as to the airport, and an opportunity to transform a vacant piece of property for the benefit of the community and the region."
The former Northwest Airlines headquarters property is located at the intersection of Dodd Road and Lone Oak Parkway in Eagan. The team finalized its purchase from Opportunity Partners Fund IV, an investment fund affiliated with The Excelsior Group.
While completing the transaction is the next step in a potential relocation of the team’s headquarters and training facility, "several steps remain before a conclusion is reached,” Vikings Owner/President Mark Wilf said.
