NBA and Nike unveil Statement Edition jerseys

Nike and the NBA gave fans a first look at the new on and off court styles.

Minnesota Timberwolves’ Karl-Anthony Towns along with 29 other players representing each team in the NBA helped unveil the Statement Edition team uniforms at an event in Los Angeles. The Wolves’ statement jersey is bright neon green with navy and white lettering and accents. The Statement Edition jersey will be available to buy on November 20 and teams will start playing in the jerseys on November 25.

Nike also debuted the Nike NBA Connected jersey which comes with an embedded NFC chip that will send content to the fan’s phone or mobile device. That content includes pregame arrival footage, highlights and players’ music playlists. Fans can access it by using the NikeConnect app and tapping the jersey with their smart phone. The jersey will be available online September 29.

Nike and the NBA also showcased a new Nike Therma Flex Showtime Warm-up Jacket, which is the first on-court warm-up jacket with a performance hood.
