UPDATE: Young Joni announced Wednesday it would reopen its back bar at 4 p.m. and will reopen its dining room Thursday at 4 p.m. for full dinner service, too.

Young Joni, a popular Northeast Minneapolis restaurant, announced it would be closed until further notice after a fire Sunday.

According to the Minneapolis Fire Department, the call came in at 6:30 p.m. for a fire in the attic that extended to the roof of the building.

By 7 p.m., crews had the fire mostly knocked down and were searching for hot spots. Minneapolis Fire gave the all clear Sunday night. Officials say the cause of the fire is accidental and "started in the pizza brick oven chimney piping assembly."

Nobody was injured in the fire and the patrons of the restaurant all evacuated safely.

In a tweet, Young Joni thanked Minneapolis fire for its quick response and announced the closure until further notice.
