Woman's body found after suspected arson in Thief River Falls, Minn.

Authorities are investigating an apparent arson and a suspicious death after firefighters put out a fire at a home in Thief River Falls, Minnesota and discovered a woman's body in the upper-level apartment.

Around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, someone called 911 to report a fire at a two-story duplex on Arnold Avenue South.

According to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, firefighters with the Thief River Falls Fire Department discovered the body after putting out the fire. 

The 23-year-old renter of the apartment where the body was found has been arrested on suspicioun of arson and second-degree murder. He was booked into the Pennington County Jail. 

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Appregension and several other agencies are investigating the incident.
