Woman killed in Dakota Co. crash
DAKOTA COUNTY, Minn. (KMSP) - A Rochester woman is dead after a crash that happened near Cannon Falls around 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
The Minnesota State Patrol says a woman was driving an SUV west on County Road 88, failed to stop at a stop sign and broadsided a car that was heading North on Highway 56. That car then hit another car that was driving south on Highway 56. Another vehicle was also damaged by debris.
A passenger in the car that was broadsided by the SUV, 78-year-old Brenda Travis, died at the scene. The driver of that vehicle was taken to a Rochester hospital with serious injuries.
