Uptown Target store taking former Cheapo spot

Target is moving into the Cheapo space in Uptown. The flexible format store will open in October 2017 at the northwest corner of Lake Street, Fremont Avenue and Lagoon Avenue.

This will be Target's third flexible format store in the Twin Cities. Existing stores include the Dinkytown Target and the store in St. Paul's Highland Park neighborhood.

The Uptown Target store will be approximately 21,400 square feet and will focus on the following products:

Men’s and women’s apparel and accessories
Home assortment catering to apartment and condo dwellers
Beauty and personal care assortment
Groceries
Baby items

The Uptown Target will also include a pharmacy, Target Mobile, online order pickup and self-checkout lanes.
