OnStar, police end 3 kids' St. Peter to Mankato joyride
MANKATO, Minn. (KMSP) - Three children, ranging from 11 to 15 years old, were taken into custody late Monday night in Mankato, Minn. after taking an SUV from a home just west of St. Peter, Minn.
According to the Nicollet County sheriff, a man reported seeing his 2016 Buick Enclave SUV leaving his driveway at 10:43 p.m. Monday, June 6. Using the vehicle’s OnStar technology, the SUV was tracked and disabled on 3rd Avenue in Mankato. The vehicle was not damaged.
St. Peter, Mankato and North Mankato police, deputies from Le Sueur County and Blue Earth County, and the Minnesota State Patrol assisted Nicollet County with this case.
