Man cutting down tree dies after it falls on him
OAK GROVE, Minn. (FOX 9) - A 49-year-old man is dead after a tree he was cutting down fell on him Monday morning in Oak Grove, Minn.
According to the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred just before 10:30 a.m. Monday on the 22000 block of Drake Street NW.
Deputies administered first aid on the man, but he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Law enforcement determined the 49-year-old was trying to cut the tree down when he was killed by it.
The incident remains under investigation.
The victim’s name will be released pending notification of family.
