ST. PAUL, Minn. (FOX 9) - Grand Old Day 2019 is officially back on, a group of business owners announced Thursday.
St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter was on hand at the Grand Avenue Business Association meeting Thursday afternoon where the announcement was made.
The annual celebration along Grand Avenue in St. Paul was recently cancelled due to a lack of funds.
"Since our cancellation announcement on Tuesday, we have been amazed and inspired by the outpouring of support for our organization from local businesses, the city of Saint Paul, and from the community at large," said the Grand Old Day Facebook page Thursday.
After the bad news, a group of business owners came together to fund raise to save the celebration.
Grand Old Day also announced that pre-sale wristbands are already on sale.
