Good Samaritan revives stunned squirrel in Brooklyn Park
BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. (KMSP) - A concerned driver with a big heart came to the rescue for a squirrel left shaken from a close encounter with a vehicle.
Police in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota were recently on patrol when they noticed a Subaru stopped in the middle of the road. The driver’s side door was wide open and a young man was bent down near the curb.
When the police stopped to make sure he was all right, they soon discovered the good Samaritan was attempting to use CPR to revive a squirrel he “ran over a little” with his car. But upon closer inspection, the squirrel didn’t appear to be injured at all, just perhaps a bit stunned.
After hanging by the squirrel’s side for a few minutes, the man’s healing hands appeared to do the trick. The squirrel came to and scurried away off into a neighborhood.
Police captured the entire rescue on camera, which police later uploaded to Facebook. The post has been shared more than 1,700 times and has more than 44,000 views.
