Fatal crash on Highway 55 in Wright County
WRIGHT COUNTY, Minn. (KMSP) - A head-on collision on Highway 55 turned fatal in Wright County Monday evening, according to State Patrol.
According to the report, at 4:44 p.m., a pickup was headed westbound on Highway 55 near Eaken Ave SE when it crossed the center line and hit a van in the oncoming lane.
The driver of the van, 33-year-old Kyle Anderson of Forest Lake, Minnesota, died in the crash.
Emergency crews took the pickup driver, 19-year-old Shane Christian of Buffalo, Minnesota, to a hospital where he received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
