Clara’s House first in Midwest to offer PHP mental health for preschool ages
ST. CLOUD, Minn. (FOX 9) - On Monday in St. Cloud, mental health professionals unveiled a new space for struggling youth at Centra Care’s Clara’s House.
The brand-new facility will house a partial hospitalization program, where staff provide therapy to help patients overcome their trauma.
And now, beginning in February, that intervention will begin even younger.
"This is the first in the Midwest for a partial hospitalization program that serves preschool age 3 to 5 year olds, so that is an amazing thing for us," Director of Child & Adolescent Outpatient Behavioral Health Barbara Skodje-Mack, EdD, LMFT told FOX 9. "Early intervention helps in the long run to reduce mental health concerns later in life."

What they're saying:
Angel Hight toured the new project this week, and she felt great about what she saw, because she saw the impact the facility had on her daughter’s life several years ago.
"We were struggling with mental health, depression, anxiety, and panic attacks… her experience [here] was life-changing," Hight said.
"I would say don’t pass it up. This is a gift to give your children and yourselves; to not only know what they are going through but for your child to express themselves and know what they need," Hight finished.
