The 89th annual Northwest Sportshow opens March 9 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. It will run through Sunday, March 12. The show is the region?s largest outdoors event. It will feature the latest in boats, fishing hunting travel and outdoor gear from more than 300 exhibitors.

The Wall: A Rock Ballet will combine live music, classic rock and an original interpretation of emotion through dance. The company first debuted the production last year. They offered two shows, and both sold out. This year, they?re doing three shows; March 3rd, 4th and 5th at The Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul.

A Mardi Gras celebration awaits in St. Joseph
Instead of heading South for Mardi Gras, a celebration awaits just northwest of the Twin Cities. Krewe Restaurant is bringing the heritage of New Orleans to downtown St. Joseph. They’re hosting a Fat Tuesday buffet with live music starting at 5pm on the 21st. Jambalaya, gumbo and red beans are the core staples and they’re made from Chef Mateo Mackbee’s family recipes going back three generations. Chef Mateo is a native of Bloomington but his family is from New Orleans.
