The Richard Pitino Show, Episode 3
(KMSP) - Stopping a three-game losing streak with a feel good win over No. 3 Purdue last Saturday, the Gophers were riding high coming into a road game Thursday night against Maryland.
That win at Williams Arena brought to a close an ugly stretch of time for Minnesota, whose poor play and off the court troubles--namely the sexual assault allegations against senior standout Reggie Lynch--had many worried that the team might be facing an extended losing streak with no end in sight.
All good things, however, must come to an end--in this case with an 11-point loss to the Terrapins and a tough game coming up Saturday against No. 22 Ohio State.
Gopher Head Coach Richard Pitino spoke with Fox 9's Hobie Artigue and KFAN's Justin Gaard ahead of Thursday's game about the Gophers' resilience and what it means for his team down the stretch.
