Woman set on fire in St. Paul

A woman is in the hospital with serious burns after being set on fire by another person in St. Paul, according to St. Paul Police.

Sgt. Mike Ernster says around 12:30 p.m. officers responded to an assault at the 700 block of Conway St.

An adult woman suffered serious burns to her upper torso when allegedly another woman threw flammable liquid on her and set her on fire.

The victim was taken to Regions Hospital and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

A woman suspect is in custody. The relationship between the two women and the cause of the assault is still under investigation.
