A woman died and a man was severely burned in a house explosion Tuesday morning in Hampton, Minnesota.

At 6:14 a.m., crews responded to the 24000 block of Lewiston Boulevard on a report of a structure fire, according to the Dakota County sheriff's office. The explosion could reportedly be heard as far away Farmington and Hastings.

When deputies arrived, they found a man wandering the scene with severe burns over much of his body. He told deputies he was looking for his wife. The man was brought to Regions Hospital.
