Snow totals: Twin Cities at nearly 1 inch as snow keeps falling

(FOX 9) - The Twin Cities metro is up to nearly 1 inch of snow as of Tuesday afternoon and snow is expected to continue falling into early Wednesday morning.
SNOW TOTALS
- Chanhassen NWS: 0.9"
- MSP Airport: 0.7"
- Mankato: 1"
- St. Cloud: 0.2"
Approximately 2-3 inches are expected to fall by the Tuesday evening commute. The snow is falling on already ice-covered roads and sidewalks in the metro, creating treacherous conditions.
The flakes will wind down to flurries by 8 or 9 p.m. Tuesday evening and is expected to taper off by early Wednesday morning. But, more accumulating snow is in the forecast for late Wednesday through the day on Thursday.
