Rising waters prompt road closures in Henderson, Minn.

(FOX 9) - Rising flood waters prompted the Minnesota Department of Transportation to close two major routes in Henderson.

Southbound Minnesota Highway 93/North 5th Street was closed Tuesday due to high waters. Shortly thereafter, MnDOT closed Minnesota Highway 19 from Henderson to Highway 169.

Residents should note that several other roads have been closed and they may need to find alternative routes.

MnDOT may also close Highway 93 from Hwy 169 to Le Sueur, as well as the Hwy 99 bridge over the Minnesota River at St. Peter.
