Police: Former student assaulted, robbed at gunpoint near University of Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - A person was assaulted and robbed at gunpoint by three people near the University of Minnesota campus late Sunday night.
Shortly after 11 p.m., the victim, a former University of Minnesota student, was walking northbound on Pleasant Street Southeast and Pillsbury Drive Southeast when they were approached by three men wearing ski masks and dark clothing.
Two of the men assaulted the victim while the third threatened the victim with a gun. The suspects stole the victim's wallet and fled.
The victim described the suspects as late teenagers. No additional information on the suspects has been released.
