Hundreds of people were freezing for a reason Saturday as part of a polar plunge in Prior Lake, Minnesota.

FOX 9's Chief Meteorologist Ian Leonard was among them, leading the charge dressed as Jon Snow from the HBO series "Game of Thrones." Leonard braved the freezing waters seven times throughout the day.

The event helps raise money for Special Olympics Minnesota.

It's about halfway through the plunging season and so far about $2 million has been raised. About $200,000 was raised at Saturday's event in Prior Lake.
