Authorities offering $5k reward for information in City Hall Arson

Authorities are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information about the suspected arson that gutted Lakeland City Hall.

A preliminary investigation by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office determined the fire was intentionally set. The case is still open, though tips on the identity of who started the fire have slowed.

“Someone out there knows something,” Minnesota State Fire Marshal Bruce West said. “Even the tiniest bit of information could help break this case wide open and give the community the answers it deserves.”

Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call the Minnesota Arson Hotline at 1-800-723-2020 or you can provide information online at mniaai.org.
