2 shootings in 15 minutes leaves 2 dead in Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - Minneapolis police are investigating two separate fatal shootings that happened within minutes of each other on Monday night.
Minneapolis police said two men were fatally shot within 15 minutes of each other. Investigators are working to determine whether the shootings are related, but there is not a definitive answer at this time.
"Our officers and investigators are doing everything they can to determine the circumstances that led up to these fatal shootings," Chief Brian O’Hara said. "I am grateful for the officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel who work tirelessly, even when the weather poses a danger to them."
Shooting on 3rd Avenue South
What we know:
The first shooting happened around 9 p.m. on the 3400 block of 3rd Avenue South. Officers from the 3rd Precinct responded to reports of gunfire and located a man in his 20s with a life-threatening gunshot wound.
Responding officers provided aid until he was transported to Hennepin Healthcare, where he died from his injuries.
Nearby, a home sustained damage from gunfire, but it’s unclear the extent of the damage or whether anyone was home at the time. Police did not say whether there were any additional reports of damage or injuries.
Officers secured the scene and began canvassing the area for witnesses and evidence. Police said no arrests have been made.
Shooting on Harriet Avenue

Just minutes later, around 9:10 p.m., officers from the 5th Precinct were dispatched for a report of a body being dumped in an alley. Police responded to the 3100 block of Harriet Avenue and found a man in his 30s with what authorities described as multiple life-threatening gunshot wounds.
The man ultimately died from his injuries after being transported to the hospital.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will identify the victims, and release the cause and manner of their deaths at a later time.
