Border patrol civil lawsuit filed in Chicago
Chicago-area schoolteacher Marimar Martinez. who was shot five times by Border Patrol agents on Oct. 4, 2025, announced a lawsuit on Wednesday against the federal agency. Homeland Security prosecutors have said Martinez initially rammed a vehicle into federal agents prior to the shooting, while her lawyer says video evidence will show otherwise.
